Kuranui can offer you personalized fishing guiding services whether you’re fishing for the table, a trophy or a remote backcountry experience.  If you do decide to bring a trout home, our chef will prepare it with the bones removed, mildly marinated, and smoked as a tasty appetizer for your evening meal. We have some of the best trout fishing waters in New Zealand nearby, or we can organize a private helicopter journey to some of the more pristine, remote and wild backcountry areas.

Bordered by over 250,000 acres of wild free range hunting land, Kuranui traverses the rolling foothills of the Mamaku Range in the North Island where trophy Red Stag, Fallow and Rusa are in abundance.

In the South Island, our access to private backcountry provides us with some of the most spectacular Tahr and Chamois hunting available to New Zealand.

Location

We are located in the central North Island of New Zealand. Approximately 2.5 hours drive from Auckland international airport, and an easy 1-hour drive from either Hamilton or Rotorua domestic airports. Flight time via private helicopter charter from Rotorua is approximately 10 minutes travel.
